What I do in my downtime

With Christmas behind me, and getting into a new year it has made me think about my down time.

The restrictions on socialising leading up to Christmas & having Liam return home from University for the summer. It was all about being with loved ones & enjoying the moment with them. Whilst I did partake in using my daily app for a photo of the day, there wasn’t any sorting or creating happening on any scale.

I did do some work at the end of last year on making this year count more, with being more present & challenging myself with new experiences. I am getting to the point of not wanting things but wanting experiences & making the most of the moment. (Am I getting old lol!)

Thanks to Kirsty I had created a 100 list of things to do (with no time limit) & whilst it didn’t sound too hard, it actually was rather difficult to finish it. Some things on this list might take a few years before they come off the list but I am ok with that. Because the reality is that I am working & those things generally would be done outside of work hours.

So with 2080 hours of work and 2920 of sleep (total 5000), leaves me 3760 hours or 72 hours a week to do other things, not just tick items off my list but live & clean & socialise too. This year is about new experiences & I am going to give it a very good go at stepping outside my comfort zone.

Wish me luck……
