Not many make it into the physical
The thing that really, really, really makes me want to help people with their photos is because, not many photos make it into the physical world for viewing.
This doesn’t make much sense to me because we spend so much time taking photos. Yet once the image is taken, do we go back and look at them? There are the ones that are posted on Social Media, but within the week are those images ever looked at again until someone has a birthday or some other event requiring memories.
It seems so sad, yet we continue to collect photos more than we would ever have if it hadn’t been for the digital age. I do want to make it my mission to help get more photos into the physical world. By printing and displaying, or creating photo gifts to keep or give away but it is super important to go back and look at these images.
Even when the video recording became affordable for the average family, there were moments when my family would have a movie night and go over old recordings from years gone by. Even the old slides were snapped through on the big white screen on the wall. They were memorable nights where there were laughs and lots of ‘Remember when or remember that……..’ It brought back fond memories for those that could remember, laughter and love was in the air. It kept memories alive by reliving them.
That is the feeling I want to bring back into people’s lives. To help people take the time to go back over old videos or photos, I want to help them review what they have and make a plan on what they want to do with those images. How to use those collections to be able to use them again & again, to review those memories, to remember the joy in our lives and be grateful for what was……….
